Cluade ISD is proud and blessed to have a wonderful library facility to provide for its staff and students. We are also happy to be able to provide library access and services to the community of Claude. You may or may not be aware that the Armstrong public agreement with Claude ISD was terminated some time ago, establishing the Richard & Leah Morris Library into a Claude ISD student library.
We are still happy to provide the community with library services, but it will need to look a little different. The safety and security of our students and teachers on campus is our top priority. In order to keep our campuses secure, we will be closing public access to the library during times that our staff and students will be accessing this space. In addition library access will now be mirroring our campus visitor processes.
For public access to the Richard & Leah Morris library, patrons will need to sign in as a visitor in the Elementary Office by providing a drivers license and obtaining a visitor pass. Then access to the library will be granted. Public access to the library will be limited to the following times:
Wednesdays & Fridays – 1:05 pm – 3:45 pm
For questions about access to the library during these times, please contact our CISD Librarian Leslie Whitaker at 806-226-2341.
The Richard S. and Leah Morris Memorial Library was completed in 2012 with a gift donation from Mr. Richard S. Morris. The facility serves primarily as the school library for the students and staff of Claude ISD as well as the public library for the residents of Claude, Texas and Armstrong County.
